

Dennis G. Gramlich, 45, Olathe, Kansas, died unexpectedly on Sunday morning, July 27, 2008. Dennis was out-of-town doing what he loved the most, playing golf in a tournament. Known as "Denny" or "Duke" by his friends and buddies, he had a deep passion of golfing and riding his motorcycle. Dennis was born on May 15, 1963, to Vincent and Mildred Gramlich. He attended Guardian Angels grade school and graduated from Bishop Miege High School. Dennis was employed for several years by Knapheide Truck Parts & Equipment and prior to that he worked for Midway Ford and Westfall GMC.
He is survived by his parents, his beloved of 22 years, Nancy Novacek and their 12-year-old daughter, Lauren Gramlich; brother, Kelly and his wife Kristy and nephews, Kristopher and Kyle;, sisters, Nancy and Karen, all of which reside in the Kansas City area, aunts, uncles and tons of friends.
Visitation will be held at McGilley's Midtown, 20 West Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri, Thursday, July 31, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with rosary at 7 p.m. Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 1, at 9 a.m. at McGilley's Midtown for a final sendoff by motorcycle procession to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 West 143rd Street, Olathe, Kansas for the funeral Mass. Visitation at Prince of Peace will begin at 10 a.m., Mass starting at 11 a.m. with Father Kevin Cullen as celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests bringing a handwritten "Dear Lauren" letter -- a memory or experience with Dennis to be made part of a memory book for Lauren. Pictures are appreciated.
