Lucille D. McCoart
11 July 1928 - 25 October 2014
Lucille "LOU" was called the singing waitress; she spent approximately 40 years working at Joe's Bar-B-Que, located at 79th & State Line, she also worked at Jimmy Carter's and Joe's Barn. She had many newspaper articles written about her. Walt Bodine was one of many who commented about her. Her son, Mike took her to visit the Price is Right to see one of her favorite hosts Bob Barker where she was called on stage and won a car (which we nicknamed 'Bob the Silver Bullet'). She loved creating yard ornaments out of wood, such as Uncle Sam, Chiefs Players, Little girl with bonnet on swing, several styles of wind chimes. She was a huge fan of Notre Dame football and the Kansas City Chiefs. She loved to go out and eat, pie, cakes and strawberry shakes were some of her favorites. After she retired she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had an infectious smile, she was Sunshine on a cloudy day. She had a big personality for such a little woman. She loved it when we would tease her. She would sing old songs and we would tease her about making them up, we all really knew she didn't. She loved life and loved to laugh. She was loved by many people and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter Marcia, her son Michael, her grandchildren Wendie, Rhonda, Dana (Henry), Jill, Damien, Jamee, Derek, James and Pat, and several great-grand-children.
