Don was born on December 16th, 1946 in Wichita, KS to the late Howard F. Dearmore and Marjorie J. (Mayor) Dearmore. Don was also preceded in death by his brother, David M. Dearmore.
Don was a veteran serving in the Air Force and also attended Emporia State University. Don’s professional career started at the family founded company Southwest Grease and Oil in Wichita KS. His time at Southwest Grease and Oil transferred him to Olathe, KS, Pittsburgh PA, back to Wichita KS, and eventually to Overland Park KS in the mid-1980s where Don and his family have been ever since. Around that time Don also founded and was the managing partner for another family oil and gas business, DEARCO. Don continued as managing partner for DEARCO until his recent retirement. Don and his wife Rosie were married on May 5, 1997. Since that union they shared great love and friendship in everything that they did together.
Don’s personal gift was kindness. There wasn’t a person he met where he didn’t make them feel like they were his best friend. Don touched many lives throughout the years as he enjoyed various hobbies, including playing pool, golf, riding Harley’s, and driving exotic fast cars. One of Don’s biggest passions was his grandkids. From equestrian to football, dance and cheer to baseball, he loved to be there to share the experiences with each of his grandkids. He is forever their #1 fan!
Don is survived by his wife, Rosalie Dearmore, son Daniel (Kim) Dearmore, daughter Darci (Dennis) Robinson, step-daughter Theresa (Chris) Moore, and grandchildren, Danylle, Ava, Brooke, Jack, Davis, Liam and Fallon.
