Dorothy J. DeSimone, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 6th, 10:30 am, St. Regis Catholic Church, 8941 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City MO 64138. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm at McGilley State Line Chapel, (the Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.)
Dorothy was born in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated high school at St. Anne's Academy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She lived most of her adult life in Raytown and Lee’s Summit. Dorothy was a devoted and loving stay-at-home mother who dedicated her life to her two sons and husband. She will be greatly missed.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Angelo, her parents Emil and Caroline Janik, and her sister Joan Herring. Survivors include her sons David (Ann) and Michael (Cristi); grandchildren Sierra, Nicholas and Gemma; brother Chuck (Helen) Janik; and many nieces and nephews.
