“It’s not the years in your life that counts, it’s about the life in your years.”
Earnest “Ernie” Turner III was born on December 13, 1987, to Earnest Turner Jr. and Victoria White-Turner. To know Ernie was to love him. His presence was welcoming to ALL. He loved his family very much and he expressed his love for them unconditionally. Growing up in church, he accepted Christ at an early age, and later rededicated his life to Christ in his early twenties.
Ernie was baptized by Dr. Larry C. Lott while he was in elementary school. He graduated from Blue Springs South High School and was later awarded his first scholarship from Blue Hills Church of the Nazarene through The Leonard and Elizabeth Watts Sr. Foundation (Lenny J. Watts Scholarship) to attend Central Missouri State University. Ernie had a passion for cars and entrepreneurship. Everyone was aware that he knew everything about cars, a passion he shared with his dad. Ernie was an auto refinisher and painter. His expertise and craftmanship empowered him to become a Master Painter and Restorer working at several body shops in the Kansas City, MO area which included Metro Ford, Inc. (Independence, MO), Carvana (Belton, MO), Shuttlewagon Mobile Railcar Movers (Kansas City, MO). This natural entrepreneur had goals to establish ownership of an Auto Body and Painting Shop. Ernie was the life of any family gathering and party. He loved to joke around, and he brought joy to all those around him. He lived his life with no regret, making every moment count. He cherished his relationships with his parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandmother, and all his family. Ernie was loyal to those he loved, and protected all that was precious to him. Although we will miss him dearly, we are grateful to God for the 35 years he gave us with him. Earnest “Ernie” Turner III lived a FULL life everyday living his Good Life!
