Ed’s great passion in life was skiing and he spent his life spreading his love of skiing to friends and family.
For more than 50 years, he worked tirelessly as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol and as a member of the Kansas City Ski Club.
The family would like to thank the wonderful angels of Ascend Hospice and all the amazing nursing staff at Villa St. Francis for their compassionate care as they helped Ed through his journey with ALS.
He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, grandson, dog, many cousins and many more friends.
A mass of intention will be at St. Ann’s Church in Prairie Village June 15, 2021 at 6:30 a.m. (This is not a funeral mass, please do not send flowers).
Donations can be made to Ascend Hospice (mail checks to 783 N.E. Anderson Lane, Lee's Summit, MO. 64064) or Villa of St. Francis Catholic Care Center (via their website, www.villasf.org).
The family will hold a Celebration of Life on June 17.
