Still miss you my friend.  Hope you, Harold and my sweet husband, Don are keeping each other company in Heaven.    Mickey & I keep in touch daily and talk on the phone quite often.

As you know there is no one in this world like our mothers.  Even though our hearts break for you, know that Elaine was a very special woman and she will be with you always!  She always made us laugh; she will be greatly missed.  We wish you comfort and peace of mind!

Elaine was my favorite aunt and was always very close to me.  I remember many visits to her house growing up playing cards and talking about family and friends.   She will be missed but I was very thankful to have had her in my life.  

Elaine and Harold had a lot of friends and were always good to many people  They  always enjoyed having people over.   They will never be forgotten.

Elaine was like a great-aunt to me. She was my grandmother’s best friend and she, Harold, and Mickey were and are very close to our family. Elaine sent cards every holiday, came to my wedding party, and even came to anniversaries. I enjoyed speaking to her on the phone and sending letters. I also loved hearing about the card games she would play with my grandparents. She is someone who I truly loved and have always thought of as part of my family. She was a big presence and will truly be missed. 

I met Elaine around 2010. I was a young Service Advisor at Dick Smith Ford in Raytown near her home. My boss at the time took me to pick up her Explorer and get it serviced and bring it back to her. From then on I was her car guy, anything she needed with her cars she would call me. I’ve changed dealerships since then but I’ve continued to pick it up and deliver for her. We became good friends.  She would call just to check on me and make sure all was well with me and my family or see how hunting season was going for me. She was beyond sweet to me. I will miss her dearly. 

Ms Elaine always had a smile that will brighten up a room she was funny and straightforward she touched my heart so much she was my motivation she was a strong 💪🏻Fighting woman with a heart ❤️ of gold miss u 😘😇thinking of u daily my angel 👼 your in good hands now I can see u smile down on us 🥺😢😇 #RememberUforever❤️👼

Even though I knew you for 1 short year, you became like another Mother to me. I will truly miss you Elaine. Please rest in Peace, we will always be with Machelle!!

Machelle, I am so sorry for your loss.  Sadly, I did not get the chance to meet your Mom, but she raised you so she must have been a pretty amazing person.  My thoughts are with you and your family.

I met Elaine when I went to work at the same Insurance Company she worked for.  As time went on, we became close friends and remained that way for over 60 years.  She and her husband Harold and I and my husband, Don used to play cards up until Harold's death.  I will never forget a trip we all took to St. Louis together with their infant daughter, the car broke down on the way and we had to get it fixed, then we drove for hours trying to find a place to sleep.  It was quite an experience that we laughed about years later, although it wasn't  funny at the time.  We had a lot of fun together and my husband and I continued to visit Elaine and play cards with her until my husband became too ill to go out and visit with her.  She & I talked daily until it became difficult for her to talk on the phone. I will miss our talks Elaine.  Rest in God's Loving Arms.  Love you, Marvalee
