On the afternoon of March 1, 2012 a gentle soul let loose the bonds of earth bringing a 90 year journey, filled with all that life had to offer, to a close. Ellen Carter, surrounded by her family, on both sides of the vale, quietly left us with all the style and grace that exemplified her life. She was the youngest daughter of Tom and Nora Ryan born in Dawson, NE, a teacher, wife, mother, grandmother and good friend. She was always a considerate listener who had great empathy and interest in you as a person. She was always positive in her outlook on life. She loved poetry and found beauty in everything and everyone. She will be missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at St Therese of the Little Flower Catholic Church in Parkville, MO on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Join Ellen’s sons Jerry and Keith, Jerry’s wife Carole Rae, their daughters Erin and Allison, her nieces and nephews, and friends, as a life well lived is remembered. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Church where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Resurrection North Cemetery where Ellen will rest next to her beloved husband, Edward Carter who proceeded her in death. www.mcgilleyantiochchapel.com
