Emily was born February 18, 1977 in Carrollton, Georgia. She graduated from Central High School in 1995. She was named to Who Who's in Art and had a second degree black belt in taekwondo and hapkido. She went on many mission trips to Kenya, Africa and Venezuela, South America.
Emily was a home health care giver. She was a member of the International House of Prayer and was active in the Night Watch.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Marilyn (Griffin) Prather, uncle, Mark Griffin, cousin, Jordan Griffin, extended family and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Joan Griffin, her daughter, Jenna Marilyn Prather and paternal grandparents, Wade and Gladys Prather.
A visitation for Emily will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A funeral service will take place at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, 1312 South Park Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117. Burial will be in the Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Georgia.
