Espiridion was born December 14, 1930 in Villa de Guadalupe San Luis, Potosi, Mexico to Teofilio and Antonia (Salinas) Moran. On September 5, 1948, Espiridion married Soledad, his true love. They initially settled in Donna, Texas, where the majority of their children were born. In 1963, Espiridion moved his family to the Kansas City area of Wolcott Kansas where he farmed many of the surrounding areas. Espiridion eventually moved on to work for Sunflower Ammunition in the maintenance department. He became a 'Jack-Of-All-Trades' after leaving Sunflower Ammunition, doing anything from painting to electrical work, plumbing, and auto mechanics, among other things. Espiridion would drop whatever he was doing to go help any of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed being outside and would frequently take walks around the neighborhood. He enjoyed reading medical books, watching westerns such as 'Gunsmoke' and 'Bonanza,' and doing jigsaw puzzles—the bigger the better—in his spare time.
Espiridion was a hard working man and dedicated to his family. He was married to Soledad for 74 years, until she passed away on February 3, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his son and daughter -in-law Espiridion, Jr.(Pauline), son-Arturo Sr., son-in-law Profirio Raya, and daughter-in-law Antoinette Moran. He is survived by seven sons, Anthony (Lisa), Frank, Toribio (Elizabeth), Joe Louis, Ramiro (Cecelia), Jose and Armando (Susan); two daughters, Norma Raya and Melba Moran; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
