Eugene G. (Gene) Robinson, 95, passed away February 17, 2018 at home.
Born March 10, 1922 to Pearl G. and Edwin A. Robinson in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Gene moved to Kansas City as a young child and attended Central High School. He enlisted in the army November 13, 1942 and saw combat in the European theater at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Being severely wounded, he received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. On June 1, 1947 Gene married the love of his life, Rose Marie Hoeflicker, remaining together for 70 years until his passing.
Gene retired from Missouri Gas Energy after 34 years of Service. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife Rose Marie, survivors include his two sons Mark (Paige) and Kenton (Doug), granddaughter Jenifer Ganzman and great-granddaughter Zoe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 24th at 11:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64114. The Family will receive friend from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the church would be appreciated.
