Eva Lee Chessnutt

Eva “Lee” (Seek) Dana Chessnutt, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2013. Visitation on Saturday, April 13, from 10 – 11am with service beginning at 11am held at McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., Kansas City, MO. Burial following at Brooking Cemetery. Lee was born on November 2, 1933 in Richmond, MO to George Ellis Seek & Edith Elizabeth Seek (Diggs). She was married to Blaine E. Chessnutt, her husband of 31 years, who preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her son Richard Alan Dana of Stockton, CA; her 2 daughters Mari Elizabeth Dana Wyman of Pollock Pines, CA & Patricia Frances Dana VonEssen of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Richard, David, William, Reanna, Sheri & Tanya; step-grandchildren Nick, Angela & Dustin; great-grandchildren Tayla, Ashlee, Dylan, Kaylee, Emma, Adalyn & Joscelyn. Lee was also preceded in death by her step-children Linda, Donna & Karen; all 12 of her siblings – brothers Marvin Seek, Herman Seek, Edward Seek, Harold Wayne Seek, Donald Seek & a stillborn – sisters Olive Kelsey, Margaret Beckham, Vicky Hart, Beverly Richards, Dorothy Seek & Ruth Irene Seek. Lee was a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, its Altar & Rosary Society & a volunteer in the office. She loved animals & loved to dance.
