Evangelina Castro de Romo, 68, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Oct. 13, 2012, at home. Evangelina was born Oct. 6, 1944, to Guadalupe and Adelaida (Lopez) Castro in Jesus Maria, Jalisco, Mexico. She has been married to Arturo Romo for 50 years. A visitation will be held at 9-11 a.m. Thurs., Oct. 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 25th and Madison, Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Jesus Maria, Jalisco, Mexico. Evangelina is survived by: husband, Arturo Romo; 3 sons, Arturo, David, and Ricardo Romo; 4 daughters, Yolanda Ornelas, Sylvia Yuman, Cristina Camacho, and Fabiola Torres; 4 brothers, Pablo, Ignacio, Felimon, and Jesus Castro; 5 sisters, Esperanza, Guadalupe, Rosa, Josefina, Maria; and 19 grandchildren.
