Our deepest condolences to Mrs. Faythe Dick's family. She will be missed by those of us who were lucky enough to have known her.

We always marvelled at Faney's computer skills in her golden years.  We will miss you.

I was also one of the lucky ones to have Faney as a first cousin.  I spent alot of time with her and Dick. She always made sure I had a good time.  I remember when they lived in an upstairs flat and I just loved going over there to watch Dick run his train around the coffee table and I do believe a parakeet was a passenger. Later on they moved in the house and the good memories continued.  I learned so much about my mom from Faney and her last days.  Meant the world to me.  Faney was special to my dad (they shared a love of getting our family tree together. Not too long ago I was able to mail her a copy of dads work. Do hope she enjoyed it.) and I am sure they are in each others company right now along with other family members. 
I am going to make a donation in Faneys name to an animal rescue group.  With Shelly's help it will be to where her little pal,Rusty, came from.  So until we meet again, Faney, thank you for being such a wonderful cousin and friend.  Pam

I haven't seen you in years and years and years, but always was up on what and how you were doing thanks to Julie.  I was sorry to hear of your passing, but I know that you are with Dallas again and with all the puppies that you've loved.  

The world has lost a gracious and lovely lady who will be missed by many people.

Didn't get to see much of Faythe in the past year, but it did not lessen my feelings for her.  She always had a special place in my heart.  She will forever be my Momma Faythe, having filled a void of my not having a mother.  I will always love you, "Momma Faythe"!

I was a lucky person to have Faney as my cousin. My mom Geri, brother Jeff, and I visited her every Christmas and brought her gifts and food. I can still see the happiness on her face as she opened her presents. My mom was so talented and made Faney beautiful shirts and jackets. She made her wonderful croation meals, povitica, apple strudel. Faney enjoyed it so much. I made her a lace wreath that still hangs in her home. Faney was so intelligent and it was so interesting to here her talk about family heritage and her life experiences. We shared a deep love for animals. I will miss her. Until we meet again Faney! Give dad and Jeff a big hug for me! Love you!

Yes that is what Faythe meant us. 

  We meet Faythe in the early 1960's when Mickey and I were looking to get a Doberman pup. We were introduce to Faythe as the person who would help us. Help she did! Let us buy a pup
from her ( That we named Lady Danger) and from that time our friendship grow as she took us to classes (Obedience classes)to train us in the handling of our new pup. At those classes we meet
many wonderful people we also have great love of Dobermans. We than wanted a second pup to play with Danger. Faythe took us to a friend of hers who recently had a new litter. We found the right pup and was able to get it. Because the pup had a deep and strong bark we named her Thunder lady. We spent many hours with Faythe at training and shows. Faythe even let me handle one of her Dobermans  Buddy in
a show. That's the kind of lady she was.

 We well really miss her for all the wonderful e-mails she sent. She told
me that she lived though her computer as it allows her to travel the world
over and visit places she could only dream of. Even go to the past and look
at the area during the dust storms and depression she live though and sent 
the pictures to all in her e-mails. Even sent web sites of the big bands and the songs of 30'rds thru 50'ths. Wonderful music from a wonderful
Lady who love to share her experience.

       Faythe is now with her all her pup's.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Faythe's passing.  We knew Faythe only for the last few years through our church.  We enjoyed visiting her over her last two birthdays; bringing her flowers and a birthday cake to help celebrate her special day.  We were so fortunate to get to visit her over Christmas this last year and give her a visit from Santa Clause; she so enjoyed that, it was fun to be able to brighten her day whenever possible.  She was always so excited to have visitors and it was a pleasure to see her and listen to her stories of growing up through the dust storms and her travels around the country. We enjoyed talking to her about German family heritage and the Colburn family name.  She was a talented, caring, and happy spirited lady who was passionate about her pets and truly loved her family and extended family and friends. Faythe will be dearly missed by many.

Our Aunt Faythe had served her time with fortitude and forward thinking.  I knew her since the mid 40's when she married my uncle Dallas. 

Her years of marriage were much too short, and she had a myriad of physical ailments in her later years,
but with the availability of computers,
she had contact with the outside world
and cherished that connection.

We're grateful she's at peace and we
feel she's sharing this new life with
Uncle and her loved ones that passed
before her.

Faythe was a real treasure to us,  she was up on everything that was going on in the world.  She knew everybody it seemed.  We wll really miss her.

I was so lucky to reconnect with Faney over the past several years. Always made me smile to receive a joke or letter from her on my e-mail.  She always referred to me as her "little cousin".and remembered me growing up in Plainville.   We will miss her, but I am sure she is up with all her family and will be keeping a loving eye on all of us!  Heaven has another angel!!  We love you Fayne!!

I first met Faythe through my girlfriend, Shelly Hilgers. She was Shelly's cousin. I've felt at ease with few people as soon as I met them, and Faythe was one of them. She was fun to talk to and be with whenever we visited her. I will remember her bright countenance and warm disposition. We'll miss you, Faney!

Faythe was a client of mine until she could no longer afford my services. I would still visit her and election night, 2008, she BEGGED me to come over and keep her company. I told her that she was watching news stations that were completely biased in opposition to her beliefs. She immediately switched and even watched an episode or 2 of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for grins and giggles. I affectionately called her my "cyber pest" but she knew I was proud of her open mind, esp at her age. RIP girl....you deserve it!

Faythe (Faney) to me was one of my dearest. Spent a lot of time on computer & phone with her. So pleased I spent time with her on the phone the week before her passing. She is now at peace & no more suffering. She will be dearly missed by many. God Bless You.

Since I can remember I was told by my mother and my Aunt Faythe how when I was born my parents told her that they would share their children with her since she could not have any of her own. She would often call me her kid. So I will always think of her as my aunt and second mom. These last few years thanks to her love of the computer we were able to chat almost every morning before I started work. I am thankful for those many chats and her constant love and support throughout my life. Thanks for being my second mom. I love and miss you. Dee Ann

If you're very, very lucky in life, you just might have a cousin who you first know as a little kid, then love and admire the rest of your life. Faythe was one of a kind. There are so very many wonderful memories of Faythe, as kids visiting the family in Stockton, a shoulder to cry on when we lost loved ones in later years, then keeping in touch with her in the twilight of her life as we both learned the blessings and curses of the computer age. It gave her the chance to show off family photos, particularly her beloved pal, Rusty. God loaned us Faythe for 91 wonderful years. Now she is safely in His arms, Rusty at her side, and will be sorely missed by all of us who knew and loved her.

We became acquainted through our dogs 30 years ago.  Our friendship developed further when we both had computers.  I will miss the many interesting and beautiful items she sent.  This is just a little break in time and I look forward to resuming our friendship in heaven.

I met Faythe in 2005 through a mutual friend here in Wichita. Faythe impressed me from the beginning with her youthful attitude, and open mind. 

We tend to stereotype senior citizens as old-fashioned and unwilling to change. Faythe was just the opposite. Her mastery of the internet and willingness to embrace modern times impressed me immediately. 

Faythe's body was becoming "worn out", but not her mind or spirit. She once shared a photo of herself that was taken in 1942 when she was only 21. She was slender and pretty, a real hottie! The photo had a particularly special meaning to me, because it was taken on the front porch of a historic mansion just around the corner from my home. I walk by the Campbell mansion nearly every day, and I can picture her sitting on the porch, smiling and posing for the photographer.

Faythe was also an employee of the Beech Aircraft Corporation during the war years. She was a "Rosie The Riveter", and helped build planes for the war effort. She also shared a certificate of recognition with me that she has earned for her work and effort. It has special meaning for me, as I have been an employee of Beechcraft Corporation for 25 years.

I will sincerely miss reading Faythe's emails, as I looked forward to them every week. She was a little gemstone in my life.

I  knew Faythe for 20 years and she was a treasure.  She will be missed by so many.  I hope that there is a computer up there for her and then she will truly be in heaven.  Wouldn't be surprised if we hear from her.  But, we will see her again someday.  Looking forward to it.  Love & Hugs ,, Jack
