Gary was born October 12, 1962 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Edwin Brooke and Mary (Wheeler) Brooke. He was a 1980 graduate of Oak Park High School and attended Maple Woods Community College. He was employed with Exabyte, Left-Hand Networks, and Hewlett Packard Enterprises before retiring. Gary was a member of the Central States Bass Association and Fishing for Freedom.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Brooke of the home; children, Katie Marsh (Michael), Vail, AZ, Amanda Anderson (Justin), Kansas City, MO, and Christopher Brooke (Kathryn), Braymer, MO; his grandchildren, Lily, Sam, Lyric, Calvin, Kennedy, Savannah, Anna, Henry and Thomas; and his parents, Edwin Brooke, Braymer, MO and Mary Brooke, Conrad, MT.
A visitation for Gary will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
