He is survived by his wife Judy Baird of Raytown, Missouri; his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and James Lawrenzi; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tanya Baird; his granddaughters and grandsons, Sarah, Kyrstin (husband: Anthony), Jessica (husband: Emery), Preston, Zach and Keegan; and great granddaughter Harper; all of whom loved him very much.
A memorial service for Gene will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Graceway Church, 5460 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Kansas City, MO 64133.
