George John Lapka Jr.

George was a retired military veteran enlisting in the United States Navy from 1945-1947, serving aboard the USS Comet in the Aleutian Islands. He then transferred into the United States Air Force, serving in Formosa/Taiwan and retired at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base after twenty years of active military service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Mary Lapka, and by two children, Michael Paul Lapka and Katherine Ann Price, as well as a granddaughter, Rachel Heidi Price. Also preceding him in death is his brother, Robert Lapka and his wife, Pat, as well as his brother Richard Lapka. He is survived by his son, George John Lapka III and his wife, Cheryl, and by his daughter Betty Jean Boone. Additionally, George is survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. George is also survived by his brother Ronald Lapka and his wife, Marilyn, and his sister Rosemary "Penny" Lapka-Kontur and her husband, George Kontur.

The family requests that all flowers sent to services be scent free out of respect for family members with allergies.
