Geri was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1937 to Joseph and Irene Bock. The second child of ultimately four children. On September 10, 1960, she married Dan Angotti. Their 64 years of marriage journeyed them along many paths that had them living in Texas for 18 years before moving to Kansas City in 2001.
Geri held different work positions, but she was most proud of being the owner of a beauty salon for 12 years. Her customers loved her talents, and she enjoyed making her ladies beautiful. After moving to Texas, Geri held an administrative position at Alcatel until she retired in 1999. The thing that brought her most joy was her family. She was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers’ fan with her Terrible Towel ready when watching the games.
Geri was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Dolores, Bob and Marianne. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dan Angotti, her daughter, Laura Christopherson and her grandson, Conner Christopherson.
A visitation for Geri will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will occur at 3:00 PM in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
