Glenda was an exquisite and vivacious woman. Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to her today until we meet again as she lost her fight with cancer. On October 28, 2022 the good Lord called our beloved home where she joined her father Haywood (Woody) Milburn and her mother Wauneta Colene Carpenter Milburn. Glenda is survived by her husband William Mutch Sr, her son William Mutch Jr as well as her grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving Glenda are her siblings of Ronnie Milburn, Larry Milburn, Alan Milburn, Janis Brown and Duane Milburn. In addition to Glenda's immediate family, she also leaves behind many step-siblings, step-children, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Glenda was born in Kansas City, Missouri where she grew up and later moved to Lincoln, Missouri where she built a farm. Later, she returned to Kansas City and resided in Gladstone when she was called home. As we say goodbye, let us take a moment to remember the remarkable woman Glenda was. Anyone who knew her knew how passionate she was about the people and the things she loved. Glenda loved her family and friends tremendously and loved spending time with them. She was also very passionate about her plants and her animals. Her kindred heart led her to love and care for many animals throughout her life including her love her shih tzu, Rottweilers, miniature horses and donkeys and many other animals. One of Glenda's favorite pastimes was riding the back of a Harley with her husband alongside of their son and many family and friends. Being an explorer at heart, Glenda loved traveling. Her travels led her all over the U.S. including Hawaii, Florida, Texas, New York, California, Colorado, Tennessee and Arizona to name a few.
As we cherish our precious moments with her, we will know that she will truly never be gone or forgotten as she will forever be in our hearts and our thoughts. Although we are not ready to say goodbye, we now lay her to rest in peace with her mom and dad. We will always and forever love you mom.
A visitation for Glenda will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
