Gloria worked and retired from Swift Armour and Conagra. As a member of the Sheffield Family Life Center, she dedicated much of her time to her community. She enjoyed volunteering with Harvesters and the Operation Love Outreach providing comfort and care to those who need it most. When not aiding the community, Gloria adored spending time with her family and friends at special events and gatherings. At home she would often spend time with her fur babies.
Gloria was preceded in death by her loving parents, Amos and Lillie Harris, and her brother, Jerry Harris.
She is survived by many loved ones; Her son Derrick Crist with his wife Rebecca; her aunt Alberta Tomlin; her sister Debbie Cothern and her family – Daughter Rustalyn York and husband Jason with their children Raelyn, Chase, and Brooks Kirchhoff, Corbin and Aiden York; Her nephew Dameon Hiner and wife Tina with their children Emma and Laney Graham; Her sister Lana Dreher and husband Richard with children Michael Dixon and partner Cody, Joshua Dreher, and Tabetha Painter with husband Dylan; and Her brother James Harris.
A visitation for Gloria will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
