

Grace E. Lewis passed away February 1, 2014, at Kansas City Hospice House. Grace was born to Stanley and Rose Morris on September 5, 1919. She was raised in DeKalb, Missouri, the youngest of 10 children and was the last surviving sibling.
Grace was employed for 30 years in the payroll department of General Motors until her retirement.
Grace was married to Floyd Wilson from May 26, 1964, until his death March 29, 1979. She married John E. Lewis, Jr. on June 17, 1988, and they were married until his death on August 19, 2002.
Grace enjoyed bowling and volunteering at Community Christian Church where she was a member for more than 50 years.
Survivors include the children and grandchildren of John Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved her and were blessed to have her in their lives.
The family wishes to thank Interim Health Care, the doctors and nurses of St. Luke’s South and Kansas City Hospice House. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Hill and Community Christian Church for Grace’s spiritual care.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64131. Private burial. The family suggests memorial contributions to Kansas City Hospice House, Community Christian Church or your charity of choice.
