Hoyt B. Walker, 89, of KCMO passed away on February 21, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday February 26 at Floral Hills from 11-12pm, service at 12pm, and burial to follow. Hoyt was born and raised in Berryville, AR, to Bradley and Mary Walker. He was the 4th of 6 children. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving during WWII. After returning from the war, he went to Southwest Missouri State University. In 1948 he married Elberta Quisenberry and they made their home in Kansas City, where they raised their two boys, Tom and Keith Walker. He retired from Preston Refrigeration, Company in 1988. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played golf most of his adult life, but after retirement, he lived at the golf course. Hoyt is preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elberta; 2 sons, Keith Walker; Thomas Walker; and granddaughter, Sarah Walker.
