Idena’s home going was on October 5, 2018 at Ashton Court Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was preceded in death by both parents, seven brothers, six sisters, one adopted sister, and one daughter.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age. Idena was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church before she became ill in 2015. She was employed at St. Luke’s Hospital in the late 1950’s. In the late 1960’s, she worked and volunteered as a foster/adopted mother before becoming a house wife.
Idena is survived by her husband Lloyd Carter, Jr.; daughter, Karen Carter; two sons, Michael Carter and Antonio Carter; five grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
