Jack H. Koenig, 80, of Leawood, KS passed away at home on May 30, 2012. Jack was born May 23, 1932 in Kansas City, MO. After his family, Jack's second passion in life was golf. He worked in the golf industry for 40 years, was a member/officer of the Classic Sr. Golf League for 17 years, and continued to play up until 2 months before his passing. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Veva Koenig, brother Raymond Koenig, and sister Louis Duckworth. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Koenig; son Mark Koenig, his wife Susan Bernard Koenig, and their children Tyler, Megan, and Caroline; daughter Kristine Hughes, her husband Tim Hughes, and their children Kassey, Hailey, and Harrison. Visitation will be at Mt. Moriah & Freeman on Tuesday, June 5 from 4-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
