
Jack W. Murray, 85, of KCMO, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 21 from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary recited at 6 p.m. at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church at 9020 E. 51 Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Jack was born Jan. 4, 1927 in Richmond, MO, to Neil and Georgia (Reyburn) Murray. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. Jack retired from the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 32 years of service and was a member of the AT&T Telephone Pioneers. He was a founding member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4962, and also a member of the American Legion Post # 21. Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Wilma Murray. Survivors include four daughters, Jackie Grissom (Rob), Barbara Evans (Larry), Terry Murray, Kitty Murray; five grandchildren, Jason, Greg, Samantha, Alicia, Mya; and one great grandson, David.
