James C. Abraham, 76, of Kansas City, MO passed away January 2, 2017. All services will be held at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel; visitation from 6-8pm Mon., Jan. 9th and funeral service 10:30am Tues., Jan 10th. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
James was born June 10, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to James H. and Margaret (Lee) Abraham. He was raised in Noel, MO and graduated from Noel High School in 1958. James served his country by enlisting in the Army; stationed in Hawaii from 1960 to 1962. In 1964, James joined the Kansas City Fire Dept. as a Firefighter. He rose through the ranks to become a Battalion Chief, retiring in 2008. During retirement, James spent time with his family, fishing, traveling and enjoying his grandkids.
James is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; sons, James Ryan Abraham and Justin Abraham (Laney); brother, Danny Abraham; sisters, Barbara Daniel and Lamona Abraham and grandchildren, Jack, Maryn and Vivienne.
