James Frederick Brier Jr, 65, of Roeland Park, Kansas passed away July 9, 2014 from heart complications. Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. James was born on March 16, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to James Frederick and Alta Jane (Curfman) Brier. He was a retired store owner of 2 Hobby Havens for over 30 years. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and listening to ball games on the radio. He served our country in the Air Force from 1970-1974. James was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon VanKirk. He is survived by his sister Nancy (Raymond) Smith, niece Angela Bartley, and three great nephews: Joseph, James, and Owen.
