

James Jackson, Jr., 91, was born on December 10, 1926 in Monroe, LA to Elizabeth Jackson (Brown) and James Jackson, Sr. He departed this life on February 1, 2018. He was the 3rd of 14 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Stella, three brothers and five sisters.
The family moved to Kansas City, Missouri where James received his education. He started working at an early age. He was drafted into the service in 1950 as a Marine. His tour of duty was in Korea and he finished his tour in 1954 as a Private First Class.
James returned to Kansas City and resumed working as a driver for the Pisciotta Fruit & Vegetable Company. He retired from there after 16 years of dedicated service.
He married the love of his life, Stella Jones. They were happily married for 35 years until her death in 2009.
He leaves to cherish his memory his stepsons, Clifford Jones, Jr and Eric L. Jones; 3 brothers Arthur Jackson (Clem), Eugene Jackson (Deborah), Charles Jackson; 2 sisters Ann Adams, Hazel Johnson (Clarence); a beloved sister-in-law Jewrie Jackson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
