James "Jimmy" Robert Romey

Jimmy was born September 20, 1968 to Roger James and Janie (Passler) Romey in Kansas City, KS. He was raised in Platte City, MO and attended schools at East Platte Elementary School, Second Creek Christian School, Barry Middle School and Platte City High School. For most of his life Jimmy was a car salesman and had lived in California for the past 8 years. From childhood, Jimmy loved the outdoors.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Roger; brother, Steven Romey; grandparents, Bobbie and Harold Kanatzar, and Adolph and Bea Romey; uncles, Jack Passler and Gene Romey; and his aunt, Carol Harris.

Survivors include his mother, Janie Romey of Platte City; brothers, John Romey, Kansas City, MO and Brian Romey, Gladstone, MO; a sister, Christina (Mark) Mandl, of San Antonio, TX; uncles, Charles “Buddy” Romey, Kansas City, MO, Richard Romey, Smithville, MO, and Larry Romey, of AZ; nephews, Troy Romey, Olathe, KS, and Josh Romey, Kansas City, MO; nieces, Natalie and Grace Mandl, San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 6th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the services in Second Creek Cemetery where Jimmy will be buried next to his brother, Steve.
