James L. Robinson, Jr. “Robbie”, 83, passed away at his home on March 23, 2015. Robbie was born August 22, 1931 the son of James L. Robinson, Sr. and Ethel (Easley) Robinson. He graduated from Manual High School in 1948 in Kansas City; MO. James worked at AT&T as a Switchman for 39 years. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1952-1954. He established a demolition and house moving company. He is preceded in death by a son, James L. Robinson III, his wife, Florence Adalee (Teague) and a sister, Ruth (Robinson) Wright. He is survived by his loving companion, Genevieve Willetts; a son, Gregory Robinson; four daughters, Cheryl Finke, Linda Vanattan, Kathryn Swann and Kimberly Pyle; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was a loving and hardworking man and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2015 from 11 am until service time at 12 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow.
