James was a remarkable individual who embraced the joys of life, particularly his passion for his family, career and sports. As an adult, he enjoyed travel and playing golf with friends.
From a young age, James dedicated himself to various athletic endeavors, and his enthusiasm for tennis, golf, and snow and water skiing shaped his character throughout his life. James approached each sport with a zest for competition and a true appreciation for the physical and mental challenges they presented.
James graduated from UC Sacramento with a degree in Government and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was an accomplished marketing executive who made significant contributions throughout his distinguished career. His unwavering passion took him around the world for his work, and that love of travel filled his spirit. James' visionary approach to product marketing set him apart, and his innovative ideas reshaped the industry he held dear to his heart. He was dedicated to mentoring others and empowering them to reach their full potential.
James was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Carson Rogers and mother Susan Leigh Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sue Rogers and son Alex Carson Rogers of Raymore Missouri, and sisters Ryan Marie Bacchus of Selah, WA and Kelly Ekert of Auburn, California. He also leaves behind many friends and family to honor his memory.
A Celebration of Life for James will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
