J. Major Rutherford, 97, of Independence, MO passed away on February 25, 2015. Visitation will be Monday March 2 at Floral Hills from 11-12pm, services at 12pm, and burial to follow. Major retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad, was a Mason with Lodge 630 East Gate, and a Deacon. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Donna Ritter; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Crossroads Hospice.
