Jane Dasta Van Nimwegen, 96, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011. Graveside Services will be held Monday, January 2nd, 1:30 p.m., at Calvary Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 7th, 11:00 a.m., at Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Road, Kansas City, MO, 64138. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor. Jane was born November 9, 1915, in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was a charter member of Women in Construction. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Parish in Kansas City from 1947 until her death. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Josephine Dasta; sister, Catherine; brothers, Joseph, John and Vincent. She is survived by her son, Robert Van Nimwegen; four grandchildren, Melinda Boothe, Michele Price, Bryan Van Nimwegen, Melissa Johnson; and six great-grandchildren.
