

Jaunita May Stutzman passed away on June 26, 2021 at her home in Independence, Missouri. Jaunita was born in Aldrich, Missouri on March 29, 1934 to General Vance and Goldia May Cornell. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri and lived in the Hickman Mills area. Jaunita met her husband, Donald O. Stutzman and they resided in Raytown, MO for 58 years, where she was a real estate agent. Jaunita was a loving mother of four, grandmother of 12, and great grandmother of 15.
She was lucky to find another love for a second time after her husband’s passing with Cletus Losh, who preceded her in death in December 2010.
Jaunita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, her daughters, Vickie Jane Basa, and Donita May Helling; her sisters, Veva Jean Gilliland, Mamie Lee Gieringer, and Bonnie Jackson; and her brother, Kenneth Cornell.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Henggeler (Lawrence), of Raytown, Missouri; son, William Stutzman, of Independence, Missouri; sister, Lela Canaday; and brother, Albert Cornell. She leaves behind her 12 grandchildren, Christine David (Laura), Kimberly Saleem, Jennifer McCaine (Jim), Laura Gomez, Corey Helling (Emily), Austin Helling (Kristen), Bailey Helling, Sarah Holmes (Stephen), Jason Basa, Rachael Manuele (Damien), Alex Stutzman, and Courtney Garcia (Nate); and 16 great grandchildren, Jacob David, Ethan David, Mariyah Saleem, Zoe Saleem, Kylee McCaine, Tyler McCaine, Oliver Holmes, Jasper Holmes, Kaela Helling, Gracie Gomez, Blaine Gomez, Emma Manuele, Julian Manuele, Evie Helling, Remy Helling, and Abee Garcia.
