Happy Birthday Jay! Miss you more than you know!

My dearest Jay, Thank you for making The Reserve at Barry your home for the past 10 years. Really enjoyed your fishing stories, one amazing smile and the ability to cheer the entire office with happiness as soon as you walked in the door. You will be truly missed but never-ever forgotten!

Only new Mr Jay for a couple of years working together at core Carrier.  He was s great and very pleasant man, I am truly honored to have met such a man of his character.  I will miss the fist bump he would give me everyday we saw each other.    Good day  Mr.Jay

My thoughts are with Jay's family, I knew him many years ago and he was a wonderful man. I have great memories of him!

I haven't known Jay but for a short 6 years and in that time I  have come to respect him for he was a great man among us... Always full of heart and smiles even through his pain and suffering. Going to miss you my good friend may your fishing rod always bend with bounty and your catch plentiful...

I didn't know Jay but he was one of my brothers close friends. From all I was told , knowing Jay would've been a blessing for me. He was such a kind and giving man, and he always had my brothers back and went out of his way for him along with all that he considered a friend. I was hoping to meet him one day on my next visit but didn't make it. I hope Jay is resting in peace , no more suffering and my prayers go out to his family and all those that loved him.

I am sorry that I have not written sooner. I have not been able to get to the point where I was able to write something to you without breaking down.   I am doing just that right now, but I am going to get through this.

Earlier today we had your celebration of life, and you would have loved to have seen the turnout and have heard the stories that people told.  I could not gather the strength to get up and say something but most of the stories that I could have told would not have been appropriate anyway.  I did tell a couple of the "inappropriate" ones to Jeff,  who got a big kick out of them.  

I have never met anybody who fought the fight like you did over the past year.  You never gave up, you had such determination, you never felt sorry for yourself and said "why me",  you were always cheerful and you always had a smile on your face.  You had this amazing quality of being able to put a smile on anybody's face even during the toughest of your times, and usually all it took was you saying "Hey Baby"!

You taught me so much over the five years that I have known you.  You told me on many occasions that you thought of me as a son, and you know that I always thought of you as a father as well as a dear friend.   I am going to miss when you would always talk about Jeff & Jodi to me, you would always refer to him as my brother and her my sister.

Thank you for the "double order of B&G" every weekend we worked together.  Thank you for the stuff you gave me, which I never ate & still have in the freezer. I promised you I would never tell a soul what it is and I will keep that promise until the day I meet you in heaven.  I am going to keep it right there so every time that I open the freezer I will have something to remember you by.  Thank you for introducing me to "UNCLE HENRY".  Thank you for teaching me how to spell "KUL". Thank you for teaching me how to spell "IGNANT". Thank you for letting me know that all is going to be "OK".

It has been my privilege to have known you.  I will miss you more than words can express. May you Rest In Peace

Jay Curley was a fine person, a great dispatcher. My condolences go to Jay's family. He was one of a kind.

I worked with Jay for 8 years at Core. He
was a great person. He was my good friend.  I hugged him regularly and said
prayers for him through out his battle.
He will be missed greatly. One of the best dispatchers at Core.  He was always
nice to everyone, funny, had a good sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed.

I loved Jay.  I knew him as Daddy Jay.  He was like a second father in my younger years.  I always loved being around him.  He always made me feel welcome and made the mood light and fun at all times.  He was and always will be one of my very favorite people!  If you think he won't be sorely missed, you would be absolutely Whiskey Romeo Oscar November Golf!  Rest in peace, Daddy Jay.

Daddy Jay  What A Great Man! O The stories I could Tell See you n Heaven one Day! My Friend

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Curley.  Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

Jay was always upbeat and cheerful. Always had a good story to tell you about his family or about one of his fishing adventures. We worked together for 19 years. Jay will never be forgotten by myself or my wife.

We knew Jay for several years, introduced to us by our nephew, Rich. Jay became like a second son to us and brightened up our lives. For a man who didn't like to eat fish, he sure liked to catch them. He always had a bedroom reserved at our cabin in Warsaw. 

One of our most memorable trips was a fishing trip with Jay, Rich and a couple long time friends of ours. He made a video of the week, and when we took it to transfer it to a CD the owner who did the work was very impressed with the narration and asked if he was a professional. Of course I lied and said,"Yes." Jay would have liked that little fib. We will miss him greatly.

In memory of Jay C. Curley...His passion for life will always live one!

What a wonderful person; he always had a smile for everyone. It was a privilege to know "Jay Bird"!! We will miss you, Jay!!

Ray and Margery Mealman, we are extending our deepest sympathy to the family of Jay Curley. Jay was indeed a gentleman  and respected by his friends and fellow employes at Core. I personally appreciated and enjoyed Jay for his honesty .

The 3 short years I knew Jay, I had spent the majority of that time very ill. He was always very kind from the day I met him, I could tell he had a kind, sweet soul.  
 
When he became ill, we became bonded through our struggles to fight and get our lives back. My favorite phone calls with Jay would always start with, "so, how ya doin' Buddy?" He was just that, my Buddy!! 

He had a heart of gold, unlike anyone I have ever encountered in my lifetime. He's the type of person that touches everyone's life he enters for the better.  I know he has certainly changed my life forever! I can never go back to the person I was before I met Jay, he made me fight for my life, just when I was ready to give up, he made me keep going. I owe it to him to live life to the fullest for both of us!
 
I'm blessed to have known Jay even for the brief time I did. I believe he came into my life when I needed him most. I only hope I was a half the support and friend to him as he was to me.

He had such a zest for life. He will be truly missed by all!!  May he finally rest in peace.

Jay I know you have  "GONE FISHING"  and there is no more pain in your life. There are so many stories of our days in dispatch we should of wrote that book we had talked about. You will never be fogotten in my mind or my heart. You are missed daily here at Core Carrier.

How do I express what a wonderful person Jay is.  He was a very bright light in what can sometimes be very dark.  I always thought that Jay and I had a special friendship because I regularly needed a hug from my friend to brighten up my day.  I know that I was one of many that feel this way.  He is one in a trillion.
