Jean Ann Ebert, 79, Independence, MO passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 2, 2023. Born on November 7, 1943 in Marysville, KS to Richard R. Novotny and Margaret J. Cook, she was one of three children.
Jean graduated from Marysville High School in 1961, when she was 18 she moved to Kansas City, MO where she worked for The Travelers Insurance Co for 27 years and retired in 1993.
Jean enjoyed traveling, one of her favorite places was Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She loved spending time with her grandkids; Lindsey Schreimann (Ebert), Angus Ebert and Joshua Ebert.
She was a member of Eastgate Christian Church where she served on the board of directors, was an Elder and was awarded Elder Emerits status.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry J Ebert of 40 years, and two brother; James Novotny and John Novotny.
She is survived by her son John Ebert and daughter–in–law Christina, and her grandchildren.
