Jeffrey Lee Meyer

A 1974 graduate of Hickman Mills High School, Jeff married the love of his life Melinda Harris May 31, 1975. He has two children, Glenda (Joe) Sciara and Brandi (Shane) Lynchard of Lee's Summit, MO. He also has 4 grandchildren, Abby & Joey Sciara and Riley & Zoe Lynchard. Jeff is also survived by his brothers Jerry Meyer, John Meyer and Joe Meyer, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents John & Jeanne Meyer, wife Melinda Meyer, brother Jim Meyer and Sister Janet Meyer.

Jeff retired from Ford Motor Company in 2006 where he worked for 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff enjoyed hunting, boating, skiing, ATV's, softball, weightlifting and working on automobiles. He was always surrounded by friends, and was the "life of the party". He was a huge Chiefs fan and enjoyed going to the games with friends and family. Jeff loved all animals, especially his doberman pinschers.

A visitation for Jeff will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, Mo. 64133). The memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (same address). There will be a reception at the funeral home following services.
