Mrs. Jerene Hackney, 96, died March 11, 2024 at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born on July 4, 1927, in California, Missouri, to Richard and Mary Gibler. Harold Hackney and Jerene were married for 64 years until his death in 2010.
Her working years were spent at the Vendo Company. She and Harold were lifelong members of Bethany Lutheran Church and resided in south Kansas City all of their adult lives.
A graveside service will be held at the Leavenworth National Cemetery on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care or Bethany Lutheran Church.
