Jerry D. Hopkins, 78, passed away May 7, 2016 at his home in Independence. In 1959 Jerry married Helen Hopkins. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Richard Hopkins (Julie); a sister, Joyce Leach; one granddaughter, Amber Hopkins and two great grandchildren, Derrick and Madison. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Hopkins; a sister and a brother. Visitation will be Wed., May 11, 2016 from 6-7 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
