Jerry Owen Snyder, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away August 8, 2012. He was born November 23, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Frank L. and Frankie (Morgan) Snyder. In 1947 he graduated from Northeast High School followed by Oklahoma State University and Central Missouri State. He served four years in the United States Air Force. On April 12, 1963 he married Jeanne Waldvogel. Jerry worked for the Kansas Gas Service from 1958 to 1988. He was a Master Mason enjoying fellowship in the Blue Lodge; member of York Rite Bodies, where he was past High Priest and Illustrious Master; and member of the Ararat Shrine. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 124 and Heart of America Barber Shop Chorus. He was a multi-talented person; loved music, fine sense of drawing and painting, and a deep appreciation for his home. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James L. Snyder. Jerry will be greatly missed by his wife, many friends, and his cat Awan. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at Mt.
