  Someone from our class remembered, and saw the sad news posted.  We are all very sorry to hear that Jess Paul has passed away.  He was with us in the very early days of 1970's when his family resided in Tokyo, Japan.  It looks like he will be missed by many people. 
  Our prayers go to his family, and we pray also that his soul rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of his death. Jess and I had many good times together in our advertising days. I met Jess through Dr.  Alice White at KU and then again when he worked at the Star. It was through the AD II advertising club that we spent many fun times at all the social events. He met his wife through association with that group. He was one of the first of us bachelors to fall to marriage and then have a daughter. I know how proud he was when she entered his life. Sorry that I lost track of him. I would have visited with your family. Like many of us today with the decline of our KC STAR news paper information sharing about our city and neighbors is hard to come by. Who would have thought that the decline of the city newspaper would have been effected so dramatically by technology. Sorry I missed his service. God bless. My prayers for his family.

I met Jess 11 years ago when we opened a bank across the lobby from Mortgage Consultants in Lighton Tower. 

When Jess realized my daughter had a heart defect, he took the time, each and every time we met, to ask about her, her situation, and her health. Jess would ask because he personally knew the special bond between a daughter and a father.

Lauren, Jess was very proud of you and loved you greatly. Not only did he share this with me, but I could hear the admiration he had for you in his voice when he would speak of you.

Jess, it was an honor to serve you. You will be greatly missed.

I went to high school with Jess and during the summer, he worked on our farm. We worked hard, but there was always time for a good prank.

I remember one time during harvest, I jumped into my pickup only to find a rattlesnake on the passenger side floor.  It was dead, but you can bet that I got even.  Good times....

Jess will be missed.

I worked for Jess when he started Mortgage Consultants Group.  He was one of the smartest Loan Officers I have ever worked with.  He will be missed.

Such a nice person Jess was.  I really enjoyed him as a customer of the Bank I work at, he was always so sweet to me.  So sorry for your family's loss!

Jess was always a great inspiration to me. He was an ideal image of what it takes to succeed and to still be humble when you achieve it. He was always there if I needed a helping hand or advice, especially during my most desperate times. His part in the community, our families, and individual guidance will truly be missed. I know he will be watching over us all.

Jess had a sense of humor much like mine and a heart of gold. I never saw him pass up an opportunity to be of service to someone else. May he spread humor and goodness in Heaven as he will be greatly missed here on Earth. I will see you again my friend!

Jess "Vladimir" was my 1st-year Russian-language student at Ingalls High School (Ingalls, southwest KS), 1971-72.  He was hilarious, smart, joyous & always had a twinkle of good-natured mischief in his eyes.

During my 1977-1982 service on the National KU Alumni Association Board of Directors, I had occasions to have proudly introduced Jayhawk Jess to some of my Kansas City, MO, Spanish-language students -- who were attending KU simultaneously with him ... & to my niece (now a CO Appeals Judge).  After she & Jess chatted at a KU Chancellor's reception, he confidently confided in me, "I think she likes me."  And I was overjoyed for him when Jess was elected president & successfully led the prestigious KU Student Housing -- Dorm / Student Association.

Even as a high school freshman, Jess had a natural interest in finance & international relations & radiated a bright, dynamic vision for his amazing life.  He blessed & inspired my life.  

I'm hereby e-sending a whole-family hug to Jess' mother, sisters, daughter, wife ... all of his family, friends (especially IHS & KU friends!), colleagues, clients, neighbors.
