Jesse A. Pacheco, 55, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, with burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, at the chapel. Jesse was a life long resident of the area. He was employed as a supervisor for the Kansas City Public (Main) Library and also worked for the 'Time for News' bookstore. He fought cancer and the effects of strokes for five years. He received the American Heart Assn. Humanitarian Award for unselfishly donating his time visiting and supporting stroke patients. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the KC Chiefs and Royals. He was a Roman Catholic. Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa. He is survived by three sons, Jesse II (Tiffany), Joseph and Thomas (Sandra); his mother, Paula LePage; brother, Walter LePage; two sisters, Elaine Escutia and Carol LePage; and eight grandchildren.
