Jimmy Ray (Jim) Adams, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at his home on February 28th, 2015 at age 70. Committal of Ashes will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., followed by a reception at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd.
Jim was born to Earl (Tex) and Geneva Adams in Lyons, Kansas, on June 16, 1944. Jim was a decorated veteran and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He met and married Vicky Maddox, his wife of 49 years, during return leave while in military service.
He is survived by his wife, children Kimberly Lavayen and her husband Henry, Kelly Breslin and her husband Jim, and three grandchildren, Caitlin, Cameron, and Chloe Breslin.
