Jimmy was born with Cerebral Palsy which affected his ability to walk, talk, and learn. His parents adored Jimmy, he was the center of their world. They loved him, encouraged him, and motivated him to achieve despite his limitations. Jimmy enjoyed music, fishing, watching television and going places.
Jimmy was known for his active mind and ability to "get things done". With the help of his team through Triality, Inc. and Center for Human Services he launched a paper shredding business, "Jimmy's Shred 2 Go". Jimmy was also an advocate for himself and others. In 2011, he served as Triality Advocacy President, who led an effort to install an accessible curb-cut at Kent Street in Liberty that now helps him and others to reach the nearby library.
The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to those who have served, cared for, and encouraged Jimmy throughout the years. Thank you Kansas City Regional Center - Concerned Care (now Life Unlimited) - Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
A very special thanks goes to those who especially loved Jimmy. Sharon Gal, group home manager at Liberty House, Pat Melena, former supervisor, Jim and Eveon Power from Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Zach Atteberry for his ability to motivate and encourage Jimmy to do what he didn't want to do.
