John H. Dowell, 87, of Kansas City, MO passed away in his home on June 17, 2012. Services held at Mt. Washington Mausoleum on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Visitation from 12-1pm & service at 1pm with burial following in the cemetery. John was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9997 where he held past offices and belonged to the Sheffield Masonic Lodge # 625. John was a member of the Sheet Metal Local # 2 for 50+ years. John was preceded in death by his wife, Doris and a son, John Jr. He is survived by daughters, Sharon Zukowski (Mike) & Joyce Phillips (Terry); grandson, Robert Johnston (Jennifer); two great-grandsons & niece, Patty Ward.
