John Epperson

May 31, 1923 – November 25, 2011

John Adrian Epperson went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2011. He was a devoted husband for 67 years to Virgie L. Epperson. He was a loving father to Steven Epperson (Maria) and Sheila Epperson. John was a loving grandfather to Carrie and Eric Epperson (Jennifer) and Great Grandfather to Aiden, Ty, Evan, and Lilyana Epperson. He was a brother of Bea Brenner (Bud) as well as an uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Dale Epperson, grandson Scott Epperson, brothers J.B. and Clyde, sisters Doris Boley and Lucille Miller. John was a veteran of the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne who proudly served under General George Patton in World War II. He was a hard working supervisor for 38 years at General Mills, Inc. He loved and was dearly loved by his family and his many friends including his coffee buddies Clyde Pace, Ralph Johnston, and Tom Daffron.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Gabriel Catholic Church, or Advantage Hospice of Liberty Missouri. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Friday, December 2, 2011 at St Gabriel Catholic Church, burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at McGilley Antioch Chapel where the rosary will be prayed at 7 PM.
