John E. Erwin, 43, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away December 8, 2011. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:30 p.m. followed by Memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Private interment. John was born November 25, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri. He held various positions as an armed security officer, most recently at the Metro North Mall. He was preceded in death by his brother Jeff Reffitt and sister Susan Erwin. John is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Lyn (Williams) Erwin; son Alex Erwin; mother Beverly Parker; father Gene Erwin; stepmother Pat Erwin; sisters Jana Kurzweil, Connie Erwin and Tina Engle; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
