

Jack Rebel, 87, Gladstone, passed away Dec. 27 at his home. Visitation is scheduled Monday, Jan. 2 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9:00 AM at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 800 Shady Lane, Gladstone. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Jack was born July 21, 1929 in Kansas City, KS to Martin and Barbara (Behm) Rebel. After his schooling, he joined the US Marine Corps. While in the service, he married Sherry McFaddin and the two enjoyed 47 years together until she passed in 1997.
Upon his release from the Marines, Jack went to work for TWA as an airline mechanic/welder. He worked there until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Sherry; son Brian Rebel and daughter-in-law, Annette Rebel. Survivors include his children; John (Lyn) Rebel, Diane Thomas, Janis (David) Boman, Bruce (Lisa) Rebel, Mary Ogden, Phil (Barbara) Rebel, David Rebel, Barbara Rebel (Chuck Crossland), Paul Rebel and Greg Rebel; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
