Jerry attended St. Francis Xavier grade school, graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1954, and received a BA from Rockhurst University and a MA from the University of Missouri. After working many years in advertising production, he retired from the Kansas City Star.
Jerry loved to discuss history, and he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and traveling the world. He dearly loved his home.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lucille Nestor O’Keefe. He is survived by his sister, Mary Pat (Frank) Stahl; nephew, Patrick (Amy) Stahl; niece, Katie (Chris) Sunstrom; grand nephews, Henry and Evan, all of Houston, Texas; an Aunt, Dorothy Sipp Nestor; and many cousins. Jerry’s family wishes to thank the staff at Armour Oaks for the care, kindness, and compassion shown. We also express our sincere appreciation to Crossroads Hospice for their comfort and support.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Rest in peace, Jerry.
