John Lee Rico, 63, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away May 18, 2012. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. John Lee Rico was born in Sedalia, Missouri on June 3, 1948 to Marion and Ruth Bennet Rico. John has been a resident of Kansas City, Missouri for over 40 years, He thrived on being a long-haul trucker traveling from coast to coast. John was preceded in death by his parents and son Tony. John is survived by his wife Velma Brown Rico of 43 years. He is also survived by son, Johnny Rico and wife Rachel of Peculiar, Missouri, son Tommy Rico and granddaughter Kelli Jo Rico of Raymore, Missouri. He also leaves extended family and friends. John loved riding his motorcycle especially with his son Johnny. He was a collector of NASCAR memorabilia, guns and swords. He loved being along a river bank or out on the lake fishing.
